Healthy muscles

There is a big difference between having muscles and having strong healthy muscles. Not only are leaner muscles more attractive, but the healthier your muscles are, the stronger they will be and the more you will be able to achieve.

The way you train and the food you eat are the two most important aspects to focus on when you want healthy, strong muscles. Smaller sets with heavier weights will help you increase muscle size, but to build muscles in the right way you will also need to take in a good amount of protein. Whilst protein from food is very important, it will often be hard to get as much as you want from every day foods and as such it can be very beneficial to use supplements.

Whether you simply use a protein powder or whether you opt for amino acids in the form of Creatine, the more protein you can get the better. By using supplements, you will ensure that you can get a balanced, healthy diet that includes vegetables and fruit rather than simply trying to get as much protein as you can from every single meal.

It is important to know your limits too. Start any new regime slowly and never push yourself too far. Not only do you risk seriously hurting yourself if you overestimate your ability but you will also put yourself out of action for a long time, seriously hindering your ability to improve your muscle strength and health.

Finally, drink plenty of water. Whilst protein powder and the right exercise regime are vital, without water, you will not be able to work as hard as you should and your health will suffer in general. Water is a miracle cure and you may be surprised at how much more you can achieve simply by staying hydrated.
